From WMD to Soft Imperialism

 

When the history books are written about the invasion of Iraq, I believe the reasons will be summed up thusly:

With a newly industrialized China putting unprecedented pressures on the global markets for oil, and the attack of 9/11 serving as a catalyst for ideologues who had long advocated the over throw of Saddam Hussein, the U.S. made a strategic decision and invaded the small Arab nation.
