Election Reform

Election Reform

This one is easy:

Publicly Financed Elections

We need publicly financed elections. Period. First Amendment issues would be protected but big money has a throttle hold on Washington D.C. and real reform is only possible by getting money out of politics.

Paper Ballots

Electronic voting machines do not work. They are too vulnerable to fraud and software glitches. Only paper ballots should be allowed. Scanning machines are okay so long as the paper ballots are retained.

Conflicts of Interest

Voting officials, incuding and especially Secretary of States cannot also work for political parties, as either volunteers, paid employees or consultants.
